Resources for well-being for College of Arts & Sciences faculty and staff (9/7/2021)

Dear Colleagues:

A hallmark of DEI for us is belonging, making sure that all members of the College of Arts & Sciences are a valued part of our community and included as full participants in College life. We realize that you are better able to fully participate in our community when your well-being is supported. To that end and because we know there have been challenges on campus in recent times, we have recently added wellness resources to the College’s DEI website. These resources are on topics such as parenting and family care; resilience; mindfulness; taking advantage of the arts; support networks; physical activity and more. They add to the resources that were mentioned in Dean Rhodes’ communication yesterday on supporting mental health.

You will also find the resources we are providing on other campus sites such as Carolina Together and the Carolina Women’s Center, but I want to make sure that they are highlighted in the College for your easy access and for acknowledgement that we know they are important to our community. We are also sharing them broadly in this communication to ensure that all members of our community have equitable access to resources for the benefit of your well-being.

I hope you find them useful.

Sincerely,

Karla
